Any tour can be canceled prior to its departure in which case the full refund will constitute complete settlement to the passenger. In general, if a tour must be canceled, a sixty (60) day notice will be given to passengers.

All prices are quoted in US dollars, and are based upon the rate of exchange in affect according to the date printed in the brochure. If a significant change in the exchange rate or the airfares occur before a tour operates, SHUTTERTRIPS / STERLING TOURS reserves the right to pass those costs along to tour members.
Each tour has a minimum number of tour members needed to operate it, and the number is stated in the tour brochure. If that minimum is not met, the land costs may be raised proportionally.

Individual air transport from your US departure city is available through SHUTTERTRIPS, INC / STERLING TOURS, or you may work directly with the airlines. Please remember that all airlines impose certain restrictions over periods of availability or application, stopovers, and cancellation penalties.

The airlines concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time the passengers are not on board their planes or conveyances. The passenger contract in use by the airlines concerned shall constitute the sole contract between the airline and the purchaser of this tour and/or passenger. Air transportation over the services of any IATA/ARC Members may be used.

Each tour member is responsible for obtaining his or her own passport and all visas necessary to enter specific countries.

A deposit of five hundred dollars ($500) per person is required with each reservation. If the reservation is made by telephone, the deposit should reach SHUTTERTRIPS/STERLING TOURS within seven (7) days from the date the reservation is confirmed. Written confirmation will be issued only after the deposit has been received by STERLING TOURS or SHUTTERTRIPS. Final payment is due sixty (60) days before tour departure or receipt of invoice. All tour land prices are based on a cash/check payment. If you wish to use visa, MasterCard or American Express for your final payment, a service fee of four percent (4%) will be added to the balance due on the land costs.

A full refund of land costs minus a one hundred dollar ($100) per person handling charge will be made if written notice of cancellation is received by STERLING TOURS/ SHUTTERTRIPS a minimum of sixty (60) days prior to US departure, and the cancellation fee will be charged regardless of the reason for cancellation. Cancellations received sixty (60) to forty-five (45) days before a tour will be charged a cancellation fee of one half of the land costs. Cancellations received less than forty-five (45) days before tour departure are subject to forfeiture of the entire land costs. No refund can be given to tour members who do not finish the tour, no matter the reason. Air cancellations received within sixty (60) days of US departure are subject to a two hundred-dollar ($200.00) per person handling charge. After ticketing, full forfeiture of air costs may result. We very strongly recommend that you take out cancellation and trip insurance, including hospital/medical cover, available through your own insurance broker or SHUTTERTRIPS/STERLING TOURS. We also advise you to take out this insurance when you book the tour so that there can be no mention of "prior condition" if you must cancel your place.

No refund will be made for less than three (3) days of consecutive absence from a tour nor for accommodations, meals, sightseeing or other tour services not used during the tour, and then only when such refunds are asked for prior to sixty (60) days before tour departure. Cash refunds will be made on the spot to those tour members who paid for the single supplement, but are asked to share at any time during the tour unless it has been previously stated in the brochure that tour members may have to share at certain hotels.

Upon registration, it is the responsibility of each tour member to inform the tour operator of any handicaps or health problems. It also is the responsibility of each tour member to consult his/her doctor or local public health office for any inoculations or preventative medicines needed for the area of the world where the tour is going to operate.

There is to be no smoking on any tour vehicle or during group activities (e.g., at meals, during photo stops when all are shooting together, receiving information at hotel check-ins). When lighting up, smokers are asked to always remove themselves from the group so fumes and odors will not bother non-smokers.
